Thanks Huey, I wasn't aware of that.  I didn't think there were any protection against lawsuits.

 
I would assume that any house of worship has the option of refusing a marriage ceremony for any reason or for no reason at all. 

Are there protected classes in American religion?  I kinda doubt it.  Can a church refuse to marry someone who is physically or intellectually disabled?  My guess is...sure they can.  Churches can be judgemental.  If there's a place on earth where I would expect to be negatively judged its in **** church.
